THIS IS A PREMIUM SERVICE.
If you want the original letters forwarded to you after they are scanned and uploaded to your account rather than having them shredded, then subscribe to our Jmail Box & Ship service.
You can order this service in any of the following subsctiption lengths.
* You must request any letters we are holding for you to be shipped at the end of your subscription. Jmail will not continue to hold your mail if your subscription is expired.
RETURN ITEM SERVICE FEE:
Return items to an inmate from a letter you received. (Starts September 1, 2020)
1 Credit Minimum Service Fee
Additional Fees may apply depending on the weight of the letter and the required postage.
How it works:
When you have an active Jmail Box Subscription, you will have an option on the Compose page when you create your letter, to "Choose Return Address". There will be a dropdown here where you can select either your address or Jmail's address. We also recommend giving this address to your pen pal in your initial correspondence so they are sure to have it as some prisons do not give the envelopes to the inmates.
Here is how your address will look on the envelope and also the address you should give your inmate pen pal.
Your Name
C/O Jmail Box 720

Receiving Letters: When you receive a letter from an inmate, it is scanned and uploaded to your account. You will receive an email notification that you have a message waiting in your inbox.
When you login to view or download the message it will be locked. If you have enough funds in your account you will be able to unlock the letter to view it. Once it is unlocked it will always be unlocked, you won't have to ever pay for that letter again. It will also be saved on our server for you to go back and access anytime until you delete it.
