Jmail does not provide a scan of the envelope with regularly scanned mail. This may be something that is added in the future but is not offered at this time.

Jmail can scan your envelope for an additional 1 credit fee, however, if the request is due to an inmate's change of address, or if it is a postal issue where we are trying to determine if there was a postal delay by either the prison or the USPS then there is no charge for those envelope scans (must be a delay of more than 5 days of receipt from the postmark date). Jmail may also provide a scan of your envelope as part of your letter if it is covered in artwork.

When letters are returned or rejected by the prison, Jmail may scan and upload that to your account in the form of a Support Ticket to notify you of the rejection. There is no charge for this.
