Jmail is Closing December 31, 2026
After many years of helping families and friends stay connected, Jmail will be closing at the end of 2026.
We want to give everyone plenty of time to use their remaining credits, make arrangements for any physical mail being held by Jmail, and save any letters, replies, photos, or other digital content they wish to keep.
Please review the important dates below.
Important Dates
December 10, 2026
Please stop having new mail sent to your Jmail address after this date. This will help ensure mail has enough time to reach us and be processed before Jmail mail services end.
December 18, 2026
Jmail mail services will end. Mail received after the cutoff may not be processed.
December 23, 2026
Final day to request shipment of physical mail being held by Jmail.
If you have physical mail stored with us that you want returned to you, please submit your request by this date.
December 27, 2026
Final day to pay any outstanding physical-mail shipment charges.
Please make sure any required shipment payment is completed by this date so we can finish processing remaining shipments before closure.
December 31, 2026 — Final day to access Jmail.cc
December 31 is the final day to access your Jmail account, download your digital content, or contact Jmail Support.
After December 31, Jmail.cc will be taken offline, customer support will end, and your Jmail account and digital content will no longer be available.

Using Your Remaining Credits
Please use your remaining Jmail credits before service ends.
As we get closer to closure, some purchasing and service options may no longer be available.
If you purchase additional credits during the shutdown period, please purchase only the credits you reasonably expect to use before Jmail closes.
Unused Jmail credits will not be refunded after closure.
Save Your Digital Content
Please save or download anything from your Jmail account that you wish to keep, including letters, replies, photos, or other digital content.
All downloads must be completed no later than December 31, 2026.
After December 31, your Jmail account and digital content will no longer be accessible.
Physical Mail
If Jmail is holding physical mail for you, please request shipment no later than December 23 and complete any required shipment payment no later than December 27.
Physical mail that has not been requested or otherwise claimed will be securely shredded after Jmail closes.
Jmail Support
Jmail Support will remain available through December 31, 2026 to help with closure-related questions and outstanding account or mail issues.
After December 31, Jmail Support will close along with the website. There will be no further access to customer accounts or Jmail Support through Jmail.cc.

A lot has changed since Jmail began nearly 20 years ago. Electronic messaging is now available at many correctional facilities and has become one of the easiest and most convenient ways for families to stay connected. For those who have access to these services, we hope they will help you continue the connections that Jmail has helped support over the years.
For those whose loved ones do not have access to electronic messaging, we sincerely hope you are able to find another service that meets your needs and allows you to continue staying connected.
